Hi! My name is Andrea. I'm the proud owner of Ali's Sweet Treats and I am also the mom of an amazing little girl named Ali. When it came time for her 2nd birthday, I wanted a special treat to give to my guests. There were many companies who offered very beautiful cookies but, being a single mom, I had a strict budget. On the other end, were companies who had affordable cookies but they didn't look very good and, based on the ingredients, I didn't think they would taste very good either. Another thing I noticed is that companies would give a low price per cookie, but then charge extra for packaging, ribbon and personalizing.

I figured the only way to be able to have cute and tasty cookies, was to make them myself. After lots of research and many nights spent testing new recipes and decorating (being thankful I had spent most of my teenage years watching Julia Child and studying art!), I made the very first cookies, Elmo cookies. After the party was over, many people inquired about where I had purchased the cookies. I quickly realized that maybe I wasn't the only mom who would love cute and unique cookies! By the end of 2002, Ali's Sweet Treats was officially "born".

Five years later, our company keeps growing. I have been lucky enough to be able to spend more time with my little girl, while still "working" doing something I absolutely love. I still hand-decorate most of the cookies we sell. And, yes, I still eat a few cookies every week! Family and friends swear our recipe must contain addictive ingredients because they can never have just one! But the truth is our delicious cookies are still made in small batches with real butter, vanilla extract and no preservatives. We do not freeze our cookies, everything is made fresh every day, even our icing. Our prices are still great  because I believe everyone should be able to afford beautiful, delicious cookies. And we never charge extra for packaging, real satin ribbon and personalization. I hope you will love your cookies as much as we love creating them for you. All the best, Andrea Bernal
