Hi! My name is Andrea. I'm the proud owner of Ali's Sweet Treats, Inc. I am also the lucky mom of a cool little 8 year old named Alina or "Ali".

When it came time for her Sesame Street themed 2nd birthday I wanted a special treat to give to my guests. I was surprised to find that there were no cookies, cupcakes or anything Elmo themed available in my area (or online as far as I could tell).        After lots of research and many nights spent testing new recipes and practicing my skills with royal icing (being very, very thankful I had spent most of my teenage years watching Julia Child, Martha Stewart and studying art - yes, I was a nerd!) I made my very first cookies, Elmo cookies. After the party was over, many people inquired about where I had purchased the cookies. I quickly realized that maybe I wasn't the only mom who would love cute and unique cookies! By the end of 2002, Ali's Sweet Treats was officially "born".

Five years later, our company keeps growing. I have been lucky enough to be able to spend more time with my little girl, while still "working" doing something I absolutely love. I still hand-decorate most of the cookies we sell. And, yes, I still eat a few cookies every week! Family and friends swear our recipe must contain addictive ingredients because they can never have just one! But the truth is our cookies are still made in small batches with real butter, vanilla extract and no preservatives. We do not freeze our cookies, everything is made fresh every day, even our icing!
